If you didn’t know already, Theia (and her brother Hyperion – the subject of the other slot in this series) were two of the original twelve Titans, forebearers of the famous Olympian gods of greek legend. Now she’s returned to earth to help slot fans win up to a fantastic 120,000 jackpot as part of the Titans of the Sun series of games.
Both the Theia and Hyperion versions of the slot are very similar in both looks and how they play, but there are some key differences between the two. In this review, we’ll be looking at what the beautifully elegant Theia has to offer.
First up, Titans of the Sun Theia is a 5×3 slot which has 15 paylines, all of which must be played on every spin. Spins start at 0.15, but the amount you bet can be increased markedly if you want to play for higher stakes.
Across the reels are a number of high and low symbols. High symbols are artefacts linked to Theia and ancient Greece, while the low symbols are the usual playing card lows.
One thing to note here is that Theia’s symbol is stacked three-symbols high across all three reels. Furthermore, land two Theia stacks next to each other and the symbols will combine into one Mega symbol, giving you a vastly increased payout.
The slot also features the usual Wild symbol, which substitutes for any high or low symbol in the game (but not the scatter symbol).
The in game scatter is the key to unlocking free spins. Land three or more scatters across the reels to land 15, non-retriggerable free spins complete with a fantastic 2x bonus automatically applied on every win.
One of the most intriguing features of the slot is the new Mystery Symbol, this is stacked up to six symbols high in the base game and up to seven high in Free Spins. This symbol when landed transforms into one of the high or low symbols to create winning paylines in the base game. However if landed during free spins, it can also turn into a Wild symbol, drastically improving your chances of a big win.
